The Bin Trailer – Professional Trash Bin Cleaning Trailers & Systems

Capacity & price planning

To compare bin cleaning trailers by capacity and price, separate three questions: how much water the tanks hold, how much load the configured trailer can transport, and how much water your work actually uses.

These measurements describe different limits. Comparing them correctly helps you assess whether additional equipment capacity would solve a route problem—or simply add cost and weight.

Compare the Standard Models

The table below lists advertised base prices and freshwater tank capacities for The Bin Trailer’s standard configurations. It does not state permitted towing loads or promise a number of bins per fill.

On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally to view all columns.

Tank Volume, Transport Load and Route Use Are Different

Physical Tank Capacity

This is the volume the tank is designed to contain. It does not establish the amount you can safely tow, the usable supply at every operating position or the number of customers you can serve.

Permitted Transport Load

The allowable load depends on the configured trailer and the ratings of the complete towing setup. Installed equipment, options, tools and water all contribute to weight. Request weight and loading information for your actual build rather than estimating from tank volume alone.

Water Consumed During Work

Consumption includes interior washing, exterior rinsing and cleanup. It changes with wash time, flow, bin condition and operating technique. A fixed figure such as “gallons per route” is not useful without defining the route and how the measurement was obtained.

Before filling for transport: Confirm the approved loading plan for the trailer and tow vehicle. Account for both freshwater and collected wastewater; do not assume that two tanks may both be transported full.

Estimate Refill Needs From Measured Water Use

For planning, divide the water available for cleaning by measured average water use per bin. Include exterior rinsing in that measurement and set aside water for cleanup and other needs.

Illustrative calculation only: If 100 gallons are available for cleaning after reserves and a measured complete service uses 2 gallons per bin, the water-only estimate is 50 bins. These numbers are hypothetical—not specifications, approved loads or performance claims for either model.

This estimate does not account for travel time, bin handling, customer access, wastewater capacity or variations in soil. Those factors may limit a route before the freshwater supply is exhausted.

Include Wastewater and Refill Logistics

Ask about the collection tank’s usable capacity and the water captured during your workflow. Plan where you can refill and empty collected water using an accepted disposal arrangement.

A route with convenient refill access may have different equipment needs from one where refilling requires a long detour. Record time spent refilling and unloading water so you can evaluate whether a capacity change would address a real delay.

What Does the Price Difference Buy?

These models do not share an identical trailer platform. Compare the axle layout, cleaning system, included components and configuration—not just the size of the tank.

A higher price does not automatically mean lower water use or more completed jobs. Likewise, dividing purchase price by tank gallons leaves out the equipment and operating requirements that make the trailer useful to your business.

For the complete purchase budget, review our bin cleaning trailer cost guide. Keep optional capacity upgrades separate in your quote so you can see their added cost.

When Is a Larger Tank Worth Considering?

Consider additional capacity when measured operations show that freshwater supply is a limiting factor and the proposed configuration supports the intended load. Confirm the upgrade’s price, installation requirements and effect on towing before ordering.

If most of the day is spent driving between scattered customers, a larger tank may not resolve the main constraint. If wastewater storage fills first, more freshwater alone may not extend the route either.

Ask for a Configuration-Specific Quote

Provide your planned service area, available tow vehicle, refill access and estimated work pattern. Request the tank capacities, loading information, included equipment and total price together. That gives you a more useful comparison than an unsupported promise of bins per day.
